Running that from a home PC means your P&L depends on your ISP, your power company, and Windows Update. Here is how to set it up properly, and which of our locations to pick.

Binance's global matching engine runs in Asian cloud regions, which is why our recommended location for Binance is Tokyo (Equinix TY), with Singapore as the alternative. Shorter network paths mean two practical things for a bot: REST order calls confirm faster, and websocket market data arrives sooner — which matters for arbitrage, market-making, and any strategy that reacts to the order book rather than to daily candles.
For DCA bots, grid bots on longer timeframes, or portfolio rebalancers, latency is a rounding error and any of our locations works — in that case pick the region closest to you so your RDP session feels snappy. One neutral note on availability: Binance's global exchange is not available to customers in every country; US-based traders use Binance.US, which we host separately with New York and Chicago servers.
API Keys, Rate Limits, and the Fixed-IP Advantage
Binance lets you restrict each API key to a list of IP addresses. On a home connection with a rotating IP this feature is unusable; on a VPS with a static IP it becomes your strongest security control — a leaked key is worthless to an attacker who is not calling from your server.
